“Man’s life is laid in the loom of time
To a pattern he does not see,
While the weavers work and the shuttles fly
Till the dawn of eternity.”

from “The Loom of Time” by a writer unknown.

The Weaver’s Charge

It falls to those with faith and might
To shelter and protect the weak,
To be the beacon shining bright
To guide them t’ward the peace they seek;
While talks break down and tempers climb
Man’s life is laid in the loom of time.

So driven by their hate and greed
They leave the world with little choice
When tyrant leaders force their need
On captive subjects with no voice;
Man lives in anonymity
To a pattern he does not see.

The hour has come for freedom’s fight,
No more can we sit back and wait,
We must stand tall, shine freedom’s light,
So none on earth fear Satan’s hate;
The planes now thunder through the sky
While the weavers work and the shuttles fly.

Throughout this tapestry of life
Threads of oppression black as coal,
Have marred the pattern, causing strife;
To free the captives is our goal,
To uphold peace our destiny
Till the dawn of eternity.
