ANGEL
OF THE DESERT
There
are angels in the desert
though
sometimes disguised,
One
saved a captured soldier
thank
God she's alive.
Angels
don't always travel
with
wings or gowns of white,
Often
they are strangers
who
witness brutal sights.
Battered
by a sadist
the
injured soldier lay,
Praying
to be rescued
please
let it be today.
A
stranger saw the soldier
and
didn't turn his head,
Bravely
he set the course
so
a rescue could be led.
Angel
of the desert
you
saved her precious life,
May
blessings surround you
and
life be free of strife.
